With this collection, I wanted to take the well-known tales from the Vedic scriptures and reframe them in the context of the modern South Asian family. The collection follows a family’s struggles as part of the South Asian diaspora to America, through poems that mirror the tales of Lord Shiva, Parvati Devi and Sri Ganesha.
